At EverythingEQ, we respect your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, share, and use personal information about you, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.
1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies only to personal information we collect via the website www.everythingeq.com (“Site”), online and mobile applications (“Apps”), email, telephone, electronic devices, and other interactive services (collectively, the “Service”).
We process your personal information to run our business and provide our users with our Services. By accepting our Terms of Use (and in some jurisdictions, by acknowledging this policy), you confirm that you have read and understand this policy, including how and why we use your information. If you don’t want us to collect or process your personal information in the ways described in this policy, you should not use the Site. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies or practices of any of our members or third-party websites and apps.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that EverythingEQ will use your information in the United States, and any other country where EverythingEQ operates. Please be aware that the privacy laws and standards in certain countries, including the rights of authorities to access your personal information, may differ from those that apply in the country in which you reside.
2. CHILDREN AND MINORS
To provide information to us through registration or in any other manner on the Site, you must be 18 years of age or older, as stated in our Terms of Use. Minors under 18 years of age and at least 13 years of age are permitted to use the account of a parent or guardian to access the Site and Services only if they have permission and direct supervision of the parent or guardian. Children under age 13 are not permitted to use the Site. You are responsible for any and all account activity conducted by a minor on your account. We do not knowingly “sell,” as that term is defined under applicable law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, the personal information of minors.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect or receive personal information in a few different ways via the Site. Often, you choose what information to provide, but sometimes we require certain information in order for you to use, and for us to provide you with, the Site and the experiences you reserve or access through the Site.
Data You Provide To Us
There are a variety of different ways you may provide data to us, such as:
- Account Creation. To create an account, you need to provide data including information such as your name, email address, phone number, sign-up city, and password. If you make a purchase or sign up for a subscription, you will need to provide payment and billing information. You can choose to add further information to your account, such as birthdate, photo, and address.
- To complete your profile, you may provide other information, such as a photo or birthdate.
- Posting and Uploading. We collect personal information from you when you provide, post, or upload it to our Site, such as when you respond to a survey or provide a review.
- Data From Sellers: We receive information from our sellers about you. This information can include customer service interactions, payments information, and shipping information.
- Third Party Data. You may not provide information to us about someone else unless you have obtained the prior consent of the other person for us to receive and use their information, such as for emergency contact or referral purposes.
Data Collected Automatically Through Your Use of the Site
- We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Site, such as when you view or click on content or ads (on or off our Site), perform a search, browse, or purchase a product. Specifically, the information we collect automatically may include information like internet protocol (“IP”) address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser-type, broad geographic location (e.g. country or city-level location), language and marketing preferences and other technical information. We may also collect information about how your device has interacted with our Site, including the pages accessed and links clicked.
- We may also collect precise geolocation data pertaining to your mobile device, if you have consented to providing this to us through your device settings. We may use this information to provide, promote, and improve our services (for example, by showing you products that are close to your location) and for related reasons, such as fraud prevention and security purposes. Please note that if you do not consent to providing your geolocation data, certain features of the Site may not work.
Data Collected When You Connect To A Third Party Network
- Where we make this available, you may choose to sync your account details with a third party network, such as Facebook. If you do this, we will receive some of your Facebook account information. Exactly what information we receive will depend on your settings with the third party network, but typically we receive your basic public profile information such as your username, email address, age range, gender, chosen language, country, friends list and any other public information.
