Belmont Stakes Contender Commissioner
Owned and bred by Kentucky based WinStar farm, Commissioner saw a couple early wins in Maiden and Allowance races. In February of this year, the colt moved into graded races, starting in the Besilu Stables Fountain Of Youth Stakes with jockey John Velazquez atop at Gulfstream Park, where he also ran against General a Rod (2nd w/ Javier Castellano) and finished 6th of 11. Having gone 4-months without a win, Commissioner has the stamina in his bloodlines to take on the Belmont Stakes, but will really need to be on his A-game to top his speedy opponents.
