Belmont Stakes Contender Ride On Curlin

2014 Belmont Stakes contender Ride On Curlin, a son of Multiple Graded Stakes-winning and second place finisher of the 2007 Belmont Stakes Curlin, bounced back in the Preakness Stakes with a 2nd-place finish after a not so dazzling run in the Kentucky Derby in early May, when a bumpy trip left him in 7th-place. The 3-year-old colt was bred in Kentucky by G. Watts Humphrey Jr. & Louise Ireland Humphrey Revocable Trust and is owned by Daniel J. Dougherty. Ride On Curlin is looking good going into the Belmont Stakes and as long as he breaks well and doesn’t get bumped around he shouldn’t have a problem keeping up with the pace. He likes to make his move only yards away from the wire and will be a threat down the final stretch.
